A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Zach earned a BA in Speech Communications with a focus in Performance Studies, a foundation that sharpened his ability to listen closely, advocate effectively, and negotiate with confidence.

After moving to Wilmington in 1993, Zach built a dynamic career spanning more than three decades as a professional actor, writer, director, producer, and musician, working in Chapel Hill, Wilmington, and New York City. This background gives him a distinct advantage in real estate—storytelling, presentation, and attention to detail are central to how he markets homes and represents clients.

Zach also brings practical, real-world insight to the table. With experience in the home improvement industry and as a former owner of multiple rental properties, he understands properties from the inside out—from value-enhancing upgrades to long-term investment potential. His work in real estate and property management allows him to guide buyers, sellers, and investors with clarity and confidence.

A surfer since the age of 13, Zach has a deep connection to the North Carolina coast and a genuine appreciation for the lifestyle that draws so many people to the area. He lives in the Long Leaf Hills neighborhood with his wife, Dagmar Cooley, a landscape designer, and their son Beck, a student at Hoggard High School.
